Brain Fried

Good Afternoon All!
You'll be happy to know that I did get all my hair cut off, and it has been donated to the Little Princess Trust. When getting it done the women in the hairdressers were so shocked at what I was doing, though when I explained it was for charity, they thought I was lovely.... Anyways, I'm still encouraging all who have long hair, go for the Bob like me (ignore the face), so a kid will have hair for christmas....or after :).

For the past few weeks I've been at uni, attending classes for my Masters, unfortunately now I've got three weeks off, and lots of stuff to do, but as usual my brain just wont work!! It seems like I can do anything as long as its not what I'm supposed to be doing. These last 3 days I've made a load of brownies, read a book, and sorted some important stuff out. But study...ohhh no! I've even started reading a book on Palaeopathology, which is very interesting, but has nothing to do with what I'm supposed to be doing. Although, it might have something to do with my thesis :D, so really it needs to be read. (Doesn't it look so exciting!)
Oh by the way, my masters is in Forensic Anthropology & Archaeology, dont be alarmed by my studies.

Anyways, I'm sure that once I get in the right frame of mind to actually do this, it'll all be fine, but at the moment, feeling slightly useless.

As everybody should know, last night was All Hallows Eve. Have to say, one of my favourite festivals. But I was SHOCKED by the lack of trick or treaters last night. Just cause its raining??!? Really, what is the world coming to. I was also shocked by the lack of Halloween specials and horror movies on tv last night. I remember when I was a kid, although I grew up in the US so its a bit different, trick or treating every year in the freezing cold. Halloween parties at school, with friends, haunted houses. Not to mention the halloween movies!! Like Hocus Pocus (I was about 10...I have it now :D) and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (still waiting for someone to buy me...). But on a whole, deeply unimpressed by English halloween....adding more reasons to leaving again. Anyways, next up christmas! Hopefully it'll be better this year.

Sorry about the mish mash of thoughts there. Also wanting to talk about Libba Bray's new book The Diviners and Anthony Horowitz final book in the Power of Five series Oblivion. Both good reads if you get a chance but may have to leave that for another day. I'll also be putting on my recipe for the brownies on 'Ginganinja's Word' if anyone fancys them, I admit they're AMAZING, and I've eaten far too many already...Ooooops!

Have a good evening, and anyone that's doing Movember, I feel sorry for your wives :P

Donate Your Hair!!

Good Evening!!

I just want to spread the word on something I feel is a great idea. The Little Princess Trust is a charity that provide little girls and boys across the UK and Ireland with real hair wigs. These are usually children that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

I think this is a great idea, especially for young children, it can help give them extra confidence at a bad time.

The link is: http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk

The charity accept hair donations as well as money. All of the information for both are on this website.

I'm about to donate for the second time, and I hope that anyone who reads this understands how amazing this charity is. I know that hair is not the most important thing in a persons life, for most people it grows and you cut it, but you have to understand that for those who have lost their hair, it can become more important. Although we dont always acknowledge it, our hair is a part of our identity. We change it regularly to match our moods, our styles, the weather, fashion and so on. As a redhead, or ginger, carrot top, copper top, bacon bonce, whatever you want to call it, I've always been seen as being slightly different, merely because of the colour of my hair. The one time I decided to radically change it I felt lost. This is what those children must feel like, and this charity helps give them back that identity.

Anyways, please look into this. I hope it touches your hearts as it has mine.

The Ginganinja Diaries

So, as anyone can see this is a spin off from the original Ginganinjas word, which I have now turned in to just my baking diaries. Don't worry anyone whose using the amazing recipes I put on, I will keep it up, in fact I have a few more to add :D.
But this side of things is more like opinions, observations and maybe a few rants when necessary. So I hope you enjoy. This is my chance to express my views on whats happening in the world, reviews on books, movies etc, and if you read and feel the need to criticise, please do so!!!

Cheers
